Ian Black

Managing Partner

Ian founded Rundle Partners to acquire and build great Canadian businesses. Before Rundle, he led Shopify Retail, Uber Eats, and Uber Canada, helping build these services into billion-dollar businesses, and was named to Business Insider's Top 100 People Transforming Business. He began his career at Bain & Company and attended Queen's University (Economics) and INSEAD (MBA). He also serves on the Board of Alan Canada.

Buster Shier

Senior Associate

Buster is an experienced investor with a track record spanning private equity, investment banking, and entrepreneurship. Prior to Rundle, he co-founded Companion Pet Partners, which was successfully acquired, and held positions at CPS Capital and BMO Capital Markets. He holds an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

Brandon is an experienced leader who specializes in scaling high-growth Canadian businesses, most notably at Iris Booth, Shopify and Ritual. He joined Iris Booth in 2024 to take over from its retiring founder and lead the company's next phase of growth.
